    European Commission unveils 2025 plan for economic resilience

    The European Commission has unveiled its 2025 work programme, emphasizing economic resilience, security, and regulatory simplification. The agenda includes a strategic push to streamline EU regulations and ease administrative burdens while supporting economic competitiveness and strengthening security measures. In its statement, the Commission detailed plans to adopt 11 legislative proposals this year aimed at simplifying rules, with a particular focus on environmental regulations.

As part of its economic strategy, the Commission will focus on reducing bureaucratic complexity in key sectors, enabling businesses to navigate regulatory requirements more effectively.

    This approach is expected to enhance Europe’s global competitiveness by fostering an environment conducive to investment and innovation. The 2025 work programme reflects the Commission’s broader commitment to regulatory efficiency and economic resilience, ensuring that policies support long-term sustainability while responding to emerging challenges.
